Newcastle United sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Kelly on emergency loan
Newcastle United has signed 19-year-old goalkeeper Soffia Kelly from Aston Villa on an emergency loan for two weeks, as cover for injured goalkeeper Anna Tamminen. Kelly, who is the first player to graduate from Aston Villa's academy and sign a professional contract, has yet to make her senior debut and previously spent time on loan at Rangers. She has been called up to the Wales national squad but is also awaiting her debut. Kelly may play in the upcoming Subway Players Cup match against Durham.
